Simply, there are two ways to think of winter. The first sees you embrace its charm, heading to Scandinavia to chase the Northern Lights, stay in a cosy log cabin and explore the snow-clad wonders of Finnish Lapland.
The second will see you escape for some winter sun. Alongside wildlife experiences with Tanzania’s Serengeti and Rwanda’s gorillas, it’s a fantastic time to visit much of southern Asia. India and Southeast Asia are particular highlights. And, with the seasons flipped, the southern hemisphere also enjoys its hottest weather, opening up travel to the likes of Patagonia and New Zealand. And, there’s still some warmth to be found closer to home, with places such as Tenerife in Spain's Canary Islands serving up an enticing blend of mild weather and elegant, beachfront luxury.
