"As the world’s final frontier, there really is nowhere like Antarctica, and a voyage here is certainly an adventure of a lifetime. The reason I’m such a fan of this particular itinerary – apart from the fact it’s with my favourite cruise line, Silversea – is that it skips over the choppiest part of a traditional Antarctic expedition, the Drake Passage. Saving both time and your sea legs, you’ll be whisked down to King George Island in unmatched style, enjoying one of the great landings as you descend over the ice berg-studded waters of the South Shetland Islands."
