Desert Nights Camp is spread across 10 acres of silken, copper-hued sand, with a total of 55 Bedouin-style, air-conditioned tents where you’ll sleep beneath the star-studded sky, sheltered by a linen canopy while the aromatic scent of frankincense and myrrh swirls through the air. Each tent features traditional Arabian furnishings, a comfortable living area and a private en-suite bathroom. In addition to tented rooms, there’s also a small number of standard, non-tented rooms available.
The Two Dunes restaurant offers open-air and indoor air-conditioned dining, with a strong emphasis on traditional Omani cuisine. There’s also the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Omani lamb barbecue (shuwa) around a camp fire and a traditional Bedouin dinner featuring the likes of slow-cooked meats, fragrant rice dishes, grilled vegetables, baked bread and decadent Omani desserts, accompanied by gently glowing lanterns and live oud music.
A core part of the experience at Desert Nights Camp is the range of desert activities on offer, including quad bike adventures, sand boarding, 4x4 dune bashing and guided desert drives. After a day of exploring the epic landscapes of Wahiba Sands, you may wish to indulge in a massage at the Sumor Spa or simply unwind on your terrace, immersed in the silence and serenity of your surroundings.
