Tim was born in Singapore and moved to London to study, before joining the luxury hotel industry. This experience gave him the opportunity to live in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and the USA, although he returned to London in 2006. For the past 12 years, he has visited almost 80 countries, the Arctic and Antarctica. He is passionate about luxury and expedition cruising, having spent over 450 nights on board cruise ships, and has a love for luxury rail journeys. Tim has enjoyed riding the Maharajas’ Express, South Africa’s Rovos Rail, Belmond’s luxury trains and the Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express. Whether you’re interested in Machu Picchu or a safari in Botswana, there are few experiences Tim won’t be able to share his first-hand knowledge about.
