The environment at Six Senses Vana is carefully designed with wellness and synchronicity with nature at the forefront. That includes the use of sustainably sourced materials in its ultra-sleek design, a plastic-free philosophy, a robust water management system and lush, airy interior spaces with natural ventilation. And, it’s fully integrated in its natural surroundings, nestled among sal forests, mango plantations and lychee trees, home to monkeys, butterflies and all kinds of bird species.

A comfortable pair of kurta pyjamas are provided on arrival, made from organic Indian cotton and freshly laundered each day with no charge, while the use of mobile devices is limited to the rooms, so the communal spaces are kept free of the distractions of modern technology. Speaking of the accommodation, the 66 rooms and 16 suites pair muted, soothing colour palettes with stylish furnishings, graceful artwork, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies or terraces opening out to the gardens and mango groves.

Local, sustainably sourced ingredients are the foundation of the culinary offering, comprising nutrient-packed dishes with delectable, perfectly balanced flavours – both sweet and savoury, and with plenty of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Nutritional information is displayed on all the menus, so you can always make an informed decision about what you eat. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style at Salana, while dinner is an à la carte affair, which can be enjoyed indoors or on the outdoor terrace. Anayu, meanwhile, fuses traditional Indian cuisine with Ayurvedic principles, and there’s also the Kila Tea Lounge for refreshing herbal brews and hydrating exotic blends.

Every stay includes a personalised wellness screening and consultation, allowing you to tailor your programme exactly as you please. Whether you prefer to focus on Ayurveda, yoga, mindfulness, Tibetan medicine, weight management or sleep therapy, the in-house team of wellness experts will provide bespoke guidance to help you get the very most out of your time at the retreat.
