Experience the magic of Christmas in Finnish Lapland on this luxury break at Arctic TreeHouse Hotel – one of the region’s most distinguished properties, pairing sleek Nordic design with authentic local culinary experiences and an idyllic setting among snow-blanketed boreal forests. During your stay, you’ll visit Santa’s Secret Forest, where you’ll take part in a festive elf workshop before a very special private meeting with Father Christmas himself. There’s also the unique thrill of a husky safari to look forward to, as you glide through the enchanting Arctic landscapes while driving your own sled. Each night, you’ll return to your stylish, timber-clad pod and the possibility of watching the celestial dance of the Northern Lights.
On arrival in Rovaniemi, the gateway to Finnish Lapland, you’ll be met for a short private transfer (less than 10 minutes) to Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, your home for the next three nights. Each stylish timber-clad pod features floor-to-ceiling windows, offering views of the snow-blanketed forest and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights in the evenings. Indeed, you’ll be staying just a stone’s throw from the Arctic Circle and comfortably within the auroral oval – the zone where the Northern Lights are most frequently seen. Once you’ve settled in, enjoy your first delicious dinner at Rakas Restaurant, where authentic, seasonal Lappish dishes are prepared using the highest quality local ingredients.
Dinner included
Set yourself up for a special day ahead with a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning. Soon, you’ll be venturing out into Santa’s Secret Forest, where you’ll be met by an enthusiastic team of elves who’ll lead you along the fairytale path through the forest to Santa’s Secret Command Center. Here, the elves are busy at work preparing for Christmas, and you’ll be taking part in Santa’s Helpers Training to earn your elf diploma. During your private experience in the Secret Forest, there will also be time for gingerbread decorating, various outdoor activities and hot drinks served beside a roaring open fire. And, of course, it’s all capped off by the chance to meet Father Christmas himself.
Breakfast & Dinner included
Fresh from the excitement of yesterday’s experience at Santa’s Secret Forest, there’s no let up in the snowy thrills today as you set off on an adventure through the snow-laden forests by husky sled. Driving your own sled, you’ll get to grips with the basics of ‘mushing’ as you glide through the pristine winter landscapes of Finnish Lapland in the company of these loveable, energetic animals. Then, you’ll head back to Arctic TreeHouse hotel for a final dinner at Rakas Restaurant and perhaps one more opportunity to marvel at the celestial dance of the Northern Lights.
