Arctic Panorama Resort is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from Rovaniemi Airport and Santa Claus Village, and around 10 minutes from the centre of Rovaniemi. Yet, it retains a delightfully tranquil ambience thanks to its secluded position among the forests of Ounsavaara fell, within striking distance of several ski pistes.
There are 34 Panorama Chalets in total, elegantly crafted using logs from Finnish Lapland. The timber-clad interiors are quintessentially Nordic in style, while plush bathrobes, slippers, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary premium toiletries come as standard. It’s also possible to upgrade to a Polar Chalet, which comes with the extra privilege of a Northern Lights welcome kit (including a thermal blanket, hot chocolate and marshmallows, and hand and feet warmers), or a Romantic Chalet, with roses, candles, champagne and handmade chocolates on arrival. When booking a Romantic Chalet, one complimentary champagne breakfast and a private sauna session are also included during your stay.
The Panorama Restaurant offers both buffet and à la carte dining, with a strong emphasis on seasonal Lappish ingredients alongside subtle Mediterranean influences. Think fresh Arctic char infused with wild herbs, or handmade pasta with mushrooms foraged from the nearby forests. Private dining in the traditional kota (Lappish hut) can also be arranged on request.
A wide range of excursions are available in partnership with a local tour provider, including snowmobiling tours, husky safaris, reindeer sleigh rides, snowshoe hiking, ice fishing and guided Northern Lights hunts.
