Set sail on a luxurious all-inclusive cruise with Regent Seven Seas at the height of Japan's iconic cherry blossom season. It all begins with three full days of cultural immersion as you take in the sights and sounds of vibrant Tokyo where you'll begin each day with a guided tour of the city’s most iconic sights. Then, once aboard Seven Seas Explorer, you'll have the chance to relax and indulge with your spacious balcony suite and a truly all-inclusive experience, with exceptional amenities including a pool, spa, diverse dining options, a teaching kitchen, and much more. Days 1 – 3

Tokyo

Upon arriving in Japan’s vibrant capital, you'll be privately transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to unwind in your new surroundings, and, if you wish, begin to explore Tokyo at your own pace. The next morning, after breakfast, your guide will meet you for a half-day tour that includes a visit to the Tokyo National Museum. As Japan’s oldest national museum, it boasts the country’s largest collection of art. Your tour will also take you through the upscale Ginza district, known for its chic boutiques, cocktail lounges, and sushi bars. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

On your third day, visit the Asakusa Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, dedicated to Kannon, the bodhisattva of compassion. You’ll also stop for a photo at the Imperial Palace Plaza, capturing the grandeur of one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks.

Day 4

Tokyo & embark on Regent Seven Seas cruise

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel before checking out and embarking on a half-day tour with your guide. Visit the iconic Meiji Shrine, the serene Hamarikyu Gardens, and the cutting-edge Odaiba district, known for its modern attractions. In the early afternoon, you'll be transferred to the port to board the Regent Seven Seas Explorer and begin your luxury cruise. Settle into your luxurious accommodation onboard as you depart from Tokyo's shores. Nagoya, Japan

Although Nagoya may not be as famous as Tokyo or Osaka, this vibrant city is rich in fascinating museums, tranquil temples, and lush green spaces. Known as the birthplace of Toyota, Nagoya also exudes an air of ancient spirituality, particularly at the Atsuta Shrine, one of Japan’s top three Shinto shrines. It’s a perfect spot to savor a meal of kishimen, the city’s signature flat noodles. The Tokugawa Art Museum houses over 10,000 pieces showcasing Japanese art, theatre, fashion, and samurai heritage. For those interested in post-war Japan, the SCMaglev and Railway Park offers an interactive experience with real trains and simulators, making it an exciting stop.

Kyoto (Kobe), Japan

Today, you can choose to explore Kyoto, Japan's former imperial capital, renowned for its beautiful temples, or head to Nara, the birthplace of Japanese arts, literature, and crafts. In Nara, wander through Nara Park to encounter its famous deer and visit the stunning Kasuga Grand Shrine. Alternatively, you can take a trip to Osaka to admire the grandeur of its iconic castle. If you prefer, visit Kobe, where you can find unique souvenirs like silks, ceramic teapots, paper parasols, and artwork. While in Kobe, indulge in traditional Japanese cuisine or savor the world-famous, melt-in-your-mouth Kobe beef.

After several days in Japan’s bustling cities, Kochi offers a refreshing escape with its stunning natural landscapes. From the vast coastline shaped by the Kuroshio Current to the crystal-clear waters of the Shimanto River and the lush forests that surround it, Kochi is a true paradise. The city is bordered by rugged mountains to the north, while its curved southern coastline traces the shores of Tosa Bay. To the east, you'll find Cape Muroto, and to the west, Cape Ashizuri, with its sweeping sandy beaches stretching between these two points. Blending natural beauty with cultural heritage, Kagoshima invites exploration of scenic coastal views and historic landmarks, including the site where St. Francis Xavier first arrived, introducing Christianity to Japan.
