Heading away from its traditional Canadian home for the very first time, this luxury rail journey aboard the legendary Rocky Mountaineer pairs its famed world-class service and gourmet dining with a trip to remember through the USA's spectacular southwest. With departures between August and October, the train will transport guests in style and comfort from Denver, Colorado, past vast canyons and dramatic deserts, to the mesmerising sandstone rock formations of Moab in the wilds of Utah. But the adventure doesn't end there, as you'll then join a small group tour for a trip through the America West, taking in the likes of Bryce Canyon National Park and the bright lights of Las Vegas.
Begin your trip in style with complimentary UK airport lounge access before your day flight out to Denver. Denver began life as a gold-rush town as far back as 1858 where gunslingers, gamblers, gold miners, cattlemen and of course the town sheriff made this corner of Colorado the epitome of the American wild west. Now it's a bustling ultra-modern metropolis with first-class shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums where you can learn all about the region' fascinating history.

To make exploring easy, the park's shuttle bus picks up in town for a four-hour circuit of the park. If you prefer to explore on foot, a network of gravity-defying trails descend through fragrant juniper bushes to arrive in the grand amphitheatres below. "I fell in love with Rocky Mountaineer the very first time I stepped on board, taking its classic route through Canada's Rocky Mountains between Vancouver and Calgary. So, it was a genuine thrill to discover that the train would be making its first journey south of the border, taking in some of my all-time favourite landscapes in Colorado and Utah. And, while the rail journey is an experience to treasure in its own right, we couldn't resist tagging on a road trip to make this the ultimate American adventure."
