In more detail

The train's 18 luxurious cabins, housed within its distinctive dusty-blue carriages, include 15 Suites and three Grand Suites. The light and airy Suites offer twin and double bed options and are cleverly designed to maximise space, transitioning seamlessly from daytime lounge to nighttime sleeping quarters. By day, relax on the plush sofa-bed, admiring the scenery then, as evening falls, your steward will transform the space into comfortable sleeping quarters. Additional amenities include wardrobes, a marble vanity with mirror and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with shower. The Grand Suites, named after the British botanicals Juniper, Valerian and Elder are adorned in exquisite materials, antique mirrors and an intricate palette of rich reds, mellow greens and soft blues inspired by English country gardens, creating a serene and sophisticated setting. Each features a double bed, ample wardrobe space, a dining table and a luxurious marble-clad ensuite bathroom with a shower. Guests can benefit from a personal butler service in the Grand Suites.

Take your seat in one of the two elegant dining cars – Malva or Samphire – each enhanced by inviting details such as woven rattan panels, antique mirrored ceilings and floral lights. The dining experience on board is designed by renowned restaurateur and chef Simon Rogan, a pioneer of Britain’s farm-to-fork movement. Simon's culinary alchemy conjures breakfasts, lunches, dinners and afternoon teas that are as much a part of the journey as the landscapes outside your window, with bespoke menus showcasing the richness and diversity of Britain’s culinary heritage. The Observation Car is the social heart of the train. Richly detailed timber panelling, sumptuous ochre banquettes and stylish armchairs are just what you need to unwind as the ever-changing landscapes roll by. Located within the Observation Car, The Bar is a Victorian apothecary reborn, providing an elegant and convivial space where guests can savour innovative, botanically inspired cocktails alongside a carefully curated selection of artisan gins and craft beers which showcase the finest from the UK’s independent distilleries and breweries.

The wellness suite, cloaked in the warmth of hand-carved wood, invites you to surrender to a state of profound relaxation. Sink into the embrace of the treatment bed as your senses are soothed by your choice of massage or facial, designed to restore your vitality and prepare you for nights of peaceful slumber and days of renewed vigour. Grand Suite guests receive one complimentary spa treatment per journey.
