Canvas & Orchids Retreat is an imaginative eco-resort made up of just 12 luxurious, tented lodges that “float” on platforms on a bend of the mystical Tatai River in the unspoilt surroundings of the Cardamom Mountains. The safari-style marquees are spacious and modern inside, cocooned in comfort with amenities including TVs and DVD players, the all-important air conditioning as well as ceiling fans and ensuite bathrooms while outside are spacious private terraces with sun loungers and parasol. Communal areas feature a restaurant, library and terrace overlooking the river. Activities in the Tatai River region, rich in natural beauty, include kayaking, boat trips and guided treks.
