Today you'll arrive in to Buenos Aires, Argentina's colourful capital city. Spend the rest of your day exploring its bohemian charms – wander the artsy streets of San Telmo, see the brightly painted buildings of La Boca and visit Eva Perón's resting place in Recoleta's cemetery. Explore the contemporary Latin American art exhibitions at the MALBA museum in the Plaza de Mayo, an area known for its elegant 19th-century architecture. This evening, try a traditional meal at an Argentinian steakhouse; some even include a Tango show for a truly authentic experience.

After breakfast this morning, you'll be transferred to the airport to fly to Ushuaia – world's end. Located at the southernmost tip of South America, in Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia is surrounded by snowy peaks and the icy waters of the Beagle Channel. From here you'll board Scenic Eclipse, known as the World's First Discovery Yacht. With a helicopter and seven-seat submarine onboard, you'll have the opportunity to reach areas inaccessible to most travellers. Settle into your suite, which features a private verandah to immerse you in the world outside, before indulging in your first multi-course meal onboard.

Over two days at sea, you'll have time to get to know the ship and its world-class amenities. Visit the onboard spa and choose from 10 dining options, from authentic Italian and an open Teppanyaki grill to a casual poolside menu at the Yacht Club. You'll also be introduced to the Discovery Team, who will share a wealth of knowledge about the region's wildlife and geography through a curated programme of activities. Head to the open deck areas to spot birds overhead as you inch closer to the icebergs and glaciers of the Antarctic Peninsula.

You're truly in the Antarctic wilds now, as you arrive on the shores of the Antarctic Peninsula. Icebergs, mountains and rugged coastlines set the scene for six days of adventure. Depending on the weather, your captain will take you to the best locations to spot wildlife – penguins, whales, seals and birds and visit working research stations. Embark on excursions off the ship, making use of the onboard Zodiac boats and kayaks, and for an additional charge, take a helicopter or submarine ride for a totally unique perspective of this frozen paradise. Everything you do is under the expert guidance of your Discovery Team, and of course back on the ship you'll relax with free-flowing drinks and more gourmet dining.

After six days immersing yourself in Antarctica's wilderness, you'll spend a final two days at sea sailing back to Buenos Aires. If you haven't made it to the Sense Spa yet, now is the perfect time to indulge in a massage or facial or take a dip in the Scandinavian-inspired plunge pool. And, if you're feeling tired from all the adventures of the past few days, you can even order in-room dining, served by dedicated butler service direct to your suite.
