In more detail

Presiding over the Spanish Steps in Rome’s historic centre, Hassler Roma enjoys one of the city’s most prestigious addresses. At the bottom of the 135-step stairway lies Piazza di Spagna, a Baroque jewel that also marks the start of Via dei Condotti, a high-end shopping street where boutiques like Bulgari, Cartier, Dior, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Armani line the street. It’s perfectly placed for exploring the landmarks and monuments of the Eternal City, with the Villa Borghese gardens, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Piazza Navone all within an easy stroll.

The rooms and suites are a masterclass in timeless elegance and modern comfort. Each is individually designed, with aesthetics ranging from bold Art Deco to classic Roman style and Old World luxury. All feel suitably lavish, featuring marble, silks, rich tapestries, Venetian lamps, elaborate mouldings and carefully chosen art and antiques. Street-facing rooms on the upper floors offer the finest city views, while the suites are spacious and sumptuous. The 3,552-square-foot Hassler Penthouse crowns the hotel, with two panoramic terraces, a cocktail bar, private lift access and a personal butler, creating one of Rome’s most spectacular stays.

On the sixth floor, Michelin-starred Imago serves creative Italian cuisine, accompanied by an impressive wine list and some of the city’s most dazzling dinner views. Refined all-day dining is offered in Salone Eva, which spills out in the alfresco Palm Court in summer for leisurely meals beneath ivy-clad walls. Carmen’s Bar is the place for elegant cocktails in a nostalgic setting, its dark wood and soft lighting evoking the charm of a bygone era.

Enhance your stay with a range of signature experiences. Cookery classes, private wine tastings and seasonal truffle-hunting appeal to foodies, while there are memorable ways to tour the city, from vespa and vintage fiat tours to horse-riding along the Appian Way and boat trips on the Tiber. A contemporary spa, fully equipped gym and sauna invite you to rejuvenate after a day of exploring.
