In more detail

Tucked discreetly just steps from the Champs-Élysées, Hotel Lancaster is more than a place to stay—it’s a living portrait of Parisian elegance shaped by nearly a century of history. Once home to Marlène Dietrich, the hotel preserves its 1930s Art Deco soul through polished antiques, marble fireplaces, and fresh orchids that greet guests at every turn.

Its 56 rooms and suites blend classic French charm with understated luxury. Expect well-worn parquet flooring, warm pastel tones, marble fireplaces, period furniture, and tall windows overlooking either the quiet inner courtyard or the sparkling city skyline. Some suites even boast private terraces, perfect for morning coffee above the rooftops of Paris. For the ultimate nod to the hotel’s most celebrated guest, choose the Marlène Dietrich Suite, where she stayed for three years in the late 1930s. The décor, which resembles a Parisian apartment, most notably features her baby grand piano as a tribute to her legacy.

At Monsieur, the hotel’s intimate restaurant, traditional French cuisine is reimagined with a contemporary touch, and chef Sébastien Giroud sets out to take guests on a gastronomic voyage through the regions of France. He showcases the finest seasonal produce across delectable dishes such as pan-seared frog legs, succulent slow cooked lamb, and the finest beef entrecôte. After dinner, the cosy bar invites guests to linger over signature cocktails in soft lamplight. Beyond the dining experience, guests can unwind in the tranquil courtyard garden, enjoy a tailored massage, or work up a sweat in the fitness room whilst enjoying panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower.
