Positioned between bright-green rice fields, volcanic mountains and a gorgeous black-sand beach, Soori showcases the best of Bali’s natural beauty. Indeed, you’ll want to head out and explore everything from the local Hindu shrines to the nearby historic villages and their artisan workshops. The snorkelling is also excellent, along with the hikes and cycle rides. And, there are even complimentary rice-paddy guided walks.
Then, once you’ve returned, soothe any aches in the grand infinity pool or the spa. Beautifully set among the stepped rice fields, the spa menu ranges from massages and reflexology to facials and warm-stone therapy. The complimentary yoga and tai-chi classes are excellent.
Like the spa, the dining also takes its inspiration from the hotel’s locality. Cotta, the open-air beach restaurant, showcases the island’s delicacies across vibrant tasting menus, while Ombak offers more international fine dining. For something more casual, The Reading Room serves up organic snacks, juices and light meals.
Then, at the end of it all, you’ll retire to your villa. We’ve already waxed lyrical about their design and private pools, but haven’t mentioned their impeccable butler service. There’s also plenty of size options available. While most are made for two, the Residences and Estate feature three, six and ten bedrooms, with impressive amenities to match. Think helipads, multiple infinity pools and private spa rooms.
