Highlights

  • The Executive Suite has its own private pool with great views of the Swartberg mountains
  • Taking tea in the gardens is a real pleasure
  • Make sure to visit the nearby Cango Caves or one of Oudtshoorn's famous Ostrich farms

Discover Oudtshoorn, the ‘ostrich capital of the world’, while staying in an authentic homestead on the outskirts of the town. Aptly named after its pleasant, manicured rose gardens, Rosenhof is tastefully decorated with yellowwood trims and stylish antique furniture.

In more detail

Catering for a maximum of only 28 guests, Rosenhof’s rooms are opulently decorated and most open onto its rose gardens and courtyard. There are two executive suites that boast their own private lounge, patio and swimming pool. Ideally located a short walk from the main house, guests are ensured peace, quiet and privacy.

After a day of exploring the nearby Cango Caves, visiting wildlife ranches and ostrich farms, or witnessing Meerkats in their natural environment, guests can retire to the cosy pub and luxury lounges of Rosenhof to relax and admire artwork from local South African artists. The restaurant serves delicious country cuisine which pays homage to the region’s traditional roots.
