Baines' Camp is a romantic, eco-friendly haven above the Boro River next to the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. Located on a private concession, it has the advantage of being able to take night drives and walking drives, a most thrilling way to explore the African bush and see nocturnal animals.
The camp is encircled by papyrus beds and set in a grove of trees and was built from commercially produced timbers and recycled materials, to ensure minimal impact on the environment. With just six luxurious suites, wooden walkways connect the main areas of the camp to the rooms. The six suites are perfectly designed for romance, featuring four poster beds with mosquito netting that can be wheeled out onto your own private deck, now larger and extended for 2019, where your standalone rolltop bath awaits.
The lovely swimming pool and ample decked area with comfortable seating are perfect for viewing hippos wallowing in the lagoon. Dining is a simple but delicious affair, with continental or full breakfasts available before you depart for the morning game drive. A bush brunch taken in the company of elephants is an unforgettable experience and high teas, cocktails and elegant three course dinners complete the picture.
