In more detail

Chief’s Camp is located on the famous Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve, which has earned a reputation for having the richest game viewing in Botswana, with elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog all easily spotted nearby. Each pavilion is set on a raised platform and has a covered terrace with private plunge pool and outdoor shower and bath for long soaks under the spectacular Milky Way. Inside, the rooms are air conditioned and have floor-to-ceiling windows to maximise wraparound views of the African plains. If you’re really pushing the boat out, the Geoffrey Kent Suite can accommodate two to six guests in fine surroundings featuring a private bar, lounge and kitchen that are serviced by a team of staff including waiter, personal chef and housekeeper. You’ll also have your own dedicated safari guide and private vehicle. The dining is as exquisite as you would hope for, with hot drinks brought to your pavilion each morning, followed by delicious breakfasts before you head out for the morning’s game drive. An early buffet lunch is served upon your return and the afternoon teas are a definite highlight. Classic sundowner cocktails with a selection of canapés are served before dinner in the evening, which can be served on your private deck or in the extended dining suite. There’s also a brand new pizza deck with wood fired oven and a library area next to the newly designed bar. Seasonal Mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe) excursions are available and a gorgeous pool, gym and children’s playroom complete the impressive array of facilities.
