Take a private guided tour of the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel as you learn about the history behind the hotel, the art themes and how the igloo is built from scratch each year. After the guided tour you are free to wander around and experience the special ambience as well as enjoy a complementary blue ice drink at the Ice Bar. The rest of your evening if free to settle in, before your included three-course dinner at Maku restaurant overlooking the Alta River and surrounding wilderness. Offering a fantastic culinary experience, the menu includes the finest ingredients gathered from nature's larder as well as the opportunity to witness the talented chefs create a feast before your eyes from the open kitchen.

At a charming family-owned kennel, home to a pack of 25 spirited huskies, you'll be outfitted in top-of-the-line Arctic gear, ensuring your comfort and warmth against the crisp winter air. Following a thorough introduction and safety briefing, the thrill of a lifetime awaits as you're introduced to your own team of eager sled dogs. Under their enthusiastic guidance, you'll glide through snow-dusted forests and ascend onto the vast expanse of the Finnmark plateau. As you traverse this breathtaking landscape, keep an eye out for the dramatic views of the Alta canyon, a truly awe-inspiring sight (weather permitting). Midway through your private journey, a well-deserved pause awaits, where you'll enjoy a delicious and rewarding lunch either in the open air, surrounded by the serenity of the Arctic, or within the cosy warmth of a traditional mountain hut.

Warm up back at the lodge with a special five-course dinner at Maku restaurant, or, if you prefer dining can be arranged in a private Lavvu in traditional Norwegian style.

Fuel up with a hearty breakfast before the first of your packed day of adventures begins. Kitted out in thermal gear and sporting a pair of snowshoes, you'll embark on a scenic trek. Your path winds towards a rustic wooden shelter nestled halfway up a mountain ridge. Here, you'll gather around a crackling bonfire, savouring warm drinks and tasty snacks while soaking in the breathtaking panorama. From this perfect vantage point, the Alta Valley unfolds before you, with majestic mountains as a backdrop and the frozen river snaking below. Throughout the private journey, your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating insights into the local nature and rich history of this captivating landscape.

Return to the lodge for a warming lunch in a traditional Lavvu, followed by a relaxing private sauna and hot tub experience. Your next adventure unfolds as darkness sets, where, driving in pairs, you set off on snowmobiles in search of the Northern Lights. Making stops along the way, you'll experience the wilderness of the mountain plateau while keeping an eye out for the dancing auroras. Back at the lodge, you'll be treated to a delicious three-course dinner.

Prepare yourself for another day of adventures, this time heading out to the Alta fjord where you'll go in search of what some consider to be a prized delicacy – king crabs. Your personal guide, an expert in local lore and fishing traditions, will reveal the secrets to a successful catch while sharing captivating tales of the region's history. The fruits of your labour will be enjoyed back at the lodge, where your fresh catch will be transformed into a delectable lunch. Later, enjoy a 3km reindeer sled ride through the breathtaking scenery surrounding Sorrisniva, culminating in your arrival at a traditional Lavvu where you will hear stories around the bonfire and experience the traditional Sami Joik that is the core of the Sami culture.

Celebrate your last evening as you're treated to an impressive 8-course menu before heading to your themed Ice Suite for a night at Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel. The centerpiece of the suite is a large ice bed, made wonderfully comfortable with a thick insulated mattress and soft reindeer hides, promising a comfortable and warm nights' sleep.

After breakfast, perhaps head to the sauna for some down time, or you may want to leave your mark with a private ice-sculpting lesson. Your private transfer to the airport will pick you in time for your flights back to the UK.
