In more detail

Since opening in 1884, SINA Brufani has firmly established itself as a Perugia institution, staying true to local tradition while modernising to become a truly luxurious 21st-century hotel. It occupies a prime spot in Perugia’s historic centre, within easy walking distance of numerous piazzas and palazzos, as well as the cathedral and the National Gallery of Umbria. The views overlooking the green valleys of Umbria, meanwhile, are glorious.

Timeless elegance permeates all aspects of the property, from the grand communal spaces to the classy rooms, fitted with antique furnishings, plush armchairs and Carrara marble bathrooms.

The hotel’s crown jewel is undoubtedly the spectacular wellness area, housed beneath medieval brick vaults, with a heated indoor pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city sights. Through the pool’s transparent foundation, you can also see the remains of an ancient Etruscan settlement. There’s a small gym area, too, while massages and beauty treatments can be booked on request.

At Collins’ Restaurant, the menu revolves around authentic and traditional Umbrian cuisine, with a strong emphasis on seasonal and local produce. A wide variety of quality Italian wines are available, too, along with expertly mixed cocktails at the bar, which overlooks the Piazza Italia square.
