The carefully restored historic building dates back to the 1600’s and was once home to ‘Convento di San Francesco’. Today, elegant decor is blended with some of the original details of the Franciscan convent including the red brick vaulted ceilings, ornate decor and colourful murals reminiscent of the Renaissance era. You’ll find the 43 bedrooms are decorated in typical Mediterranean style using colours that reflect the natural surroundings, with luxurious marble bathrooms and most rooms overlooking the marina.

Set on the sweeping veranda overlooking Portovenere is the hotel restaurant, Palmaria, serving up an array of eclectic Mediterranean dishes including fresh clam linguine, local catch of the day and slow cooked lamb. Relax and enjoy a post-dinner cocktail on the terrace whilst the sun sets over the colourful houses of Portovenere.
