In more detail

Sitting peacefully on the banks of Lake Rotorua, the Black Swan Lakeside Boutique Hotel & Spa is set in over an acre of mature gardens that are an oasis of calm and serenity, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. In such a peaceful location, you would hardly believe you are only 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Rotuara city and within close driving proximity to all of the region’s attractions including the area’s renowned volcanoes and geothermal pools and geysers. Back at the lodge, there are eight luxurious rooms with views over the lake or gardens. The styling is contemporary with dark wood furnishings contrasted against crisp white linens with pops of vivid blue in a nod to the lakeside setting. Each glamorous room contains a fireplace plus all mod-cons while the lavish bathrooms have under-floor heating, stone soaking tubs and monsoon showers. The public areas of the hotel do not disappoint either, with stylish spaces to relax in, including a lakefront dining room and bar serving Pacific fusion food and signature cocktails, and numerous furnished areas outdoors to make the most of the lake views. The expansive grounds play host to a solar heated swimming pool, two hot tubs, rose beds, sweeping lawns that are ideal for a game of croquet and a petanque court. A superb day spa has all the elements to revive body and soul, while a secret grotto, helipad and sandy beach plus jetty fishing spot round off the impressive array of facilities.
