With its blend of Roman and Georgian architecture and pretty River Avon setting, Bath is one of the UK’s most enchanting cities. Indeed, its array of urban treasures, from its historic spas to its grand crescents, have earned the city UNESCO World Heritage status. On this day trip aboard the iconic Belmond British Pullman, you’ll set out from London for a scenic journey across southern England, enjoying a delicious three-course brunch before free time to enjoy Bath’s historic delights at your own pace. You’ll then rejoin the train for a champagne reception, followed by a wine-paired, four-course feast as you return to the capital in style.
Board the Belmond British Pullman at London’s Victoria Station for a 9:40am departure, settling into your historic carriage where you’ll be welcomed with a sparkling Bellini cocktail. It’s then time to sit back and relax as you wend your way across southern England, enjoying a sumptuous three-course brunch and the finest teas and coffees, all served by an attentive team of liveried stewards.
Then, following your midday arrival, you’ll set out to explore Bath’s historic treasures under your own steam, perhaps taking in the city’s Roman baths and the famous Royal Crescent – a Georgian masterpiece. You might even be tempted by a soak in the rooftop Thermae Spa before returning to the train for a champagne reception and gourmet four-course feast, paired with wines specially selected by the onboard sommelier. It’s a wonderful end to a fabulous trip.

"For me, this day trip on the Belmond British Pullman is the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, with highlights ranging from the guided walking tour of Bath's city centre to the amazing food served on board the train. With some free time in the city, perhaps take the chance for a dip in the Thermae Spa and, once you're back on board, enjoy the opportunity to explore the carriages, each with a unique history and design."
