This is your chance to pair the wilds of Swedish Lapland with more than a touch of boutique luxury. You’ll stay in just one of just three log cabins, where views of the Northern Lights are invited in by ultra-modern full-length windows, a fire pit and your very own outdoor hot tub. You’ll even chase the aurora on an expert-led evening excursion. However, the included activities don’t end there, with the chance to explore your Arctic setting on a dogsledding trip and a snowmobile safari. It’s all tied together by gourmet, full-board dining and transfers included throughout.
Baord your flight to Luleå. Then, once arrived, then be met by an included transfer for the journey through Lapland’s remotes to your charming accommodation. Half timber tradition and half Scandi-cool floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll stay in one of just three log cabins, enjoying a sense of delightful seclusion that’s best appreciated from your very own outdoor hot tub and fire pit.
If you’re lucky, you’ll even be treated to a Northern Lights show. You’ll also enjoy the first of your full-board dining with a gourmet, three-course dinner. Expect the finest in local salmon, moose stews and seasonal ingredients.
Dinner included
You’ll begin each day here with freshly prepared breakfast – as with each meal you’ve the option of taking it in your room. You’ll also start your menu of included activities today with husky sledding. After meeting the oh-so-friendly dogs and undergoing some expert tuition, you’ll mush out over frozen waterways and through snow-clad forests, swapping between taking the reins and enjoying life as a passenger.
Then after a hearty lunch – often served around the campfire – and your multi-course dinner, you’ll set out to hunt the Northern Lights. Guided by the forecast and your resident aurora expert, you’ll be brought out into the wilderness on a walk or drive, culminating – weather permitting – in the magic of the lights themselves.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Today, you’ll swap the husky bark for the roar of the snowmobile, gaining expert tutelage on how to handle these magnificent machines. Your guide will then bring you out over the frozen Råne River and along magical forest trails to summit gorgeous mountain views. And, enjoying a traditional fika snack and hot drink as your look out over the river valley is a true trip highlight.
Then, returning back to base, you’ll have some time to relax or enjoy some optional activities – in between your gourmet dining, of course. There’s everything from snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing to moose safaris and the chance to meet the reindeers of the indigenous Sami peoples. Alternatively, simply make use of the sauna or book onto an in-room massage.
