Enjoy an epic journey through Venice, the Tuscan city of Siena and the Eternal City of Rome on board Europe's latest ultra-luxury train – La Dolce Vita Orient Express – taking in the myriad wonders of some of Italy's most admired regions. The journey starts and finishes in Rome, taking in some of Venice's most famous sights and experiences – from a visit to Saint Mark's Basilica to exclusive trips – all in the company of a guide. You'll then explore the historic city of Siena and its medieval riches. Beyond the places you’ll visit, though, there'll be plenty of time to admire the varied scenery from the comfort your cabin on board Europe's latest luxury train, as well as indulge in the exquisite fine dining and Bar Car cocktails available throughout, making for the most magical journey through the heart of Italy.


Day 1

Fly to Rome

Your holiday begins in relaxing style with included UK airport lounge access before your short flight to Italy's historic capital, Rome. On arrival, you'll be transferred through the heart of this incredible city to your centrally located luxury hotel. Decorated in original Art Deco style, you'll be within moments of the gardens of Villa Borghese, the iconic Spanish Steps and via Condotti, the most popular and fashionable shopping street in Rome. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city sights, ticking off everything from the ever-popular Trevi Fountain to the legendary Colosseum.

Day 2

La Dolce Vita Orient Express

Start the morning with a delicious breakfast and Italian coffee at the hotel, before an arranged transfer will take you across the city to Rome Ostiense Station, where the glamorous and opulent carriages of the La Dolce Vita Orient Express await. Following a brief check in, you'll be shown to your plush cabin by your steward. Marvel at the warm timeless furniture, carpeted floors and lavish decor, providing the perfect balance between grandeur and comfort. As you settle in, you'll be treated to a gourmet Italian lunch in the Dining Car followed by afternoon tea as you admire the serene views of the passing countryside from your window.

As evening draws in, you'll arrive into Venice ready for an exclusive private palace experience tour. You'll make private visits to historic sites in the city as well as enjoy an exclusive boat trip on the canals, before discovering Saint Mark's Basilica, a majestic temple best visited after the crowds have left. Re-join the train, departing Venice for Siena at midnight.

Day 3

The splendours of Siena

Wake up to the beautiful sight of Italy's countryside as you approach scenic Tuscany. After a pause for breakfast, La Dolce Vita Orient Express arrives at Siena station where you'll disembark ready to experience the varied splendours of Siena. You'll discover the city's remarkably preserved medieval charm and immerse yourself into its traditions, crafts, gastronomy and architecture on a guided visit. Later on, the journey continues back aboard the train as you navigate through sprawling vineyards and quaint villages whilst enjoying an evening dinner in the Dining Car; cocktails, Italian wines, music and surprises await.

Day 4

Back to Rome

The journey concludes as you arrive back to Rome this morning. After a final breakfast in your cabin, you'll take your last photos before disembarking at Rome Ostiense station where an arrange transfer will take you to your hotel. You'll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace. Don't also forget to take some time out with the city's gastronomic indulgences, showcased in everything from humble eateries to Michelin-starred restaurants. Likewise, look out for the many chic stylish boutiques for a chance to shop the latest in Italian fashion.

Day 5

Return to the UK

After breakfast at your hotel, perhaps take a final stroll along Via Veneto before a private transfer sees you to the airport for your flight home.
