The doors of Hotel Santa Caterina were first proudly opened in 1904 by Giuseppe Gambardella with just 6 rooms. Subsequently, four generations of the family have continued to expand, refurbish and manage the day-to-day operations of this luxury hotel which today stands at 72 rooms and suites. However, each has its own charm with a heady combination of early 20th-century furnishings, glamorous Amalfi Coast decor, hand painted majolica tiles and luxurious marble bathrooms. Upgrade to a suite for a spacious living area and balcony or terrace with spectacular views.
Glicine is the hotel’s fine dining restaurant run by Michelin starred chef Giuseppe Stanzione, serving-up the very best Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Enjoy an exquisite dining experience with its panoramic veranda and captivating coastal views. Al Mare is the Beach Club’s informal restaurant; the perfect spot for a casual lunch after a morning relaxing poolside, with its menu of authentic wood fired pizza, crisp salads and fresh grilled fish. Then, when the evening comes around, head to Il Grottino Bar for a sunset cocktail on the beautiful terrace.
