Immerse yourself in the enchantment of Finnish Lapland on this exclusive luxury winter escape. Spend four nights enveloped by the pristine beauty of snow-blanketed forests in the secluded luxury of Hidden Arctic Cloud Villas. Thrill-seekers will delight in husky sled and reindeer sleigh rides through winter wonderlands, and the exhilarating experience of ice floating, while there's plenty of scope for quieter moments of serene relaxation as you visit a private island for a traditional sauna experience and go wool sock hiking through the forests. And, of course, there will be multiple opportunities to spot the Northern Lights – not least when you venture out on a guided aurora hunt with a local wilderness guide. When you're not out and about exploring the pristine Arctic nature, unwind with a soak in your private Jacuzzi, relish exquisite Lappish cuisine, and bask in the warmth of your cosy villa.
Begin your holiday with included UK airport lounge access before your flight to Rovaniemi, inside the Arctic Circle. There are a number of direct flights from the UK, so your itinerary will be arranged depending on your time of arrival. After a short 20-minute private transfer, you'll arrive at Hidden Arctic Cloud – the epitome of luxury in Lapland, where you will be welcomed by your personal host. Your secluded villa is designed meticulously to blend modern comfort with traditional Lappish aesthetics. Spacious living areas offer floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views, while comfortable and stylish bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms and sauna for ultimate relaxation.
This evening, a private chef will prepare a delicious five-course welcome dinner ready for your family/group. The menu will be crafted according to your dietary requirements and what you would like to experience during your stay, however the chef will endeavour to work with local producers to create flavours that truly reflect the flavours of Lapland. Later, feel free to relax in the sauna or enjoy a soak in your private outdoor Jacuzzi.
Dinner included
After breakfast at your villa, you'll head out to a local husky farm, where you'll get to spend some time with dogs before embarking on a thrilling adventure, as the huskies pull you, by sled, along snow-covered trails and past frozen lakes. Typically, two people share a sled, with one person 'mushing' (driving) while the other person sits below, with the opportunity to switch roles along the way. Warm up with a hearty lunch at the nearby Rakas Restaurant, which offers a modern interpretation of authentic Lappish cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying another optional activity, such as snowmobiling, before returning to Rakas Restaurant for dinner. You'll then wrap up warm in an insulated suit for the ultimate relaxation experience – a private floating session, as you drift effortlessly on icy waters, surrounded by the silence of the pristine Arctic wilderness. With a slice of luck, the Northern Lights might also make an appearance, lighting up the night sky with ethereal, dancing ribbons of green.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Start your day leisurely with a delicious breakfast and time to unwind in the luxury of your villa. Then, venture into a world of rustic Arctic charm as you visit Vartiosaari Private Island, an exclusive, guests-only property on the Kemijoki River, reached via a 70-metre suspension bridge. Enjoy a private tour of the island before embracing a quintessential local tradition: relaxing in a wood-fired sauna, accompanied by invigorating wellness drinks and the subtle aroma of essential oils. If you're feeling brave, feel free to try a 'snow bath' afterwards, or enjoy a more soothing kind of bath in the outdoor hot tub. Lunch will be served at the restaurant on the private island.
Returning to your villa, you can enjoy an afternoon at leisure, with more time to make use of the sauna and the hot tub or perhaps embark on another optional excursion.
In the evening, after dinner, it's time to venture out on a Northern Lights hunt in the company of an expert wilderness guide, who will combine their knowledge of the area with the latest weather conditions and solar activity to find the ideal viewing spot to maximise your chances of witnessing this celestial spectacle. While you wait for the aurora to make an appearance, enjoy some hot drinks, snacks and storytelling. Should the conditions line up in your favour, your guide will show you the best techniques for capturing the Northern Lights on camera.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Today, it's time for a totally unique experience as you pull on a pair (or several pairs) of thick wool socks for a hike through the forest. A softer, winter-adapted form of barefoot walking, wool sock walking is known to activate all the muscles of the foot and increase circulation while you feel the satisfying crunch of the snow as you go. It's a wonderful way to ground yourself, sooth the senses and truly connect with the pristine Arctic nature. The hike concludes with a hot lunch and drinks at Rakas Restaurant, followed by a free afternoon for you to spend as you wish – either relaxing at the villa, or enjoying further optional excursions.
Come nightfall, you'll visit a local reindeer farm to meet these beautiful creatures and learn all about their crucial importance to the region's indigenous Sámi people over the centuries. You'll then enjoy an enchanting reindeer sleigh ride, gliding serenely through the forest amid the total silence of the Arctic night. The reindeer will lead you to a traditional 'kota' tent in the wilderness where you'll warm up with hot drinks and snacks next to a roaring campfire. Once again, you might be fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights if the sky is clear and there's sufficient solar activity.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included
Enjoy a final breakfast at your villa before a private transfer will return you to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
