With so much on offer in Singapore, it's a standalone destination in its own right. However, given its trading past, it's apt that its strategic position – and great flight routes – make it perfect as part of a wider Southeast Asian itinerary. Perhaps also take in the historic treasures of Cambodia, the white-sand islands of Indonesia or the unique wonders of Vietnam. Alternatively, break up your flight to Australia and New Zealand.
