The gardens which frame the accommodation are immaculately landscaped, watched over by spacious rooms complete with Jacuzzis and private balconies, split-level suites with stylish living spaces, and villas that feature the likes of outdoor terraces and private plunge pools. If you feel like really splashing out, the two ever-so-indulgent Manor Houses are private retreats host to sprawling decks, outdoor dining areas and private lap pools.
The dining is equally impressive, with everything from the multi-course Chef’s Table experience to the main restaurant, Cassia, where authentic Cantonese-style cuisine is served with a modern twist. Expect the likes of black truffle dumplings and lobster noodles, all served up to lavish interiors by acclaimed designer André Fu. Further taste sensations can be found at the fabulous Knolls, where delicious Mediterranean dishes are accompanied by sweeping views of the hotel’s cascading pools and out across the South China Sea.
And, the indulgences continue across the rest of the resort, not least at the award-winning spa, where everything from signature treatments to full-on detox days utilise the very best in all-organic products. Nine spa suites, private gardens, steam rooms and swimming pools only add to the relaxation. The beaches, too – Palawan and Tanjong – are simply spectacular, all palm-fringed sands and gently lapping waves. Head to Tanjong Beach at the weekends for food stalls and buzzing beach bars. And, there’s plenty for the adventurous, with everything from zip lines to bungee jumps and elevated walking trails through the jungle canopy all within easy reach. There are theme parks, water parks and golf courses on Sentosa itself, while the myriad delights of Singapore are little more than a stone’s throw away.
