From luxury stays to expert-led private tours, this is the ultimate introduction to Indonesia’s paradise islands. You’ll begin surrounded by rice fields and jungle in bohemian Ubud before hopping over to Lombok to showcase its underwater splendour and golden sands. Then, ending back on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, you’ll be treated to seafood delicacies, traditional dances and temple sunsets. It’s all brought to life by a series of curated excursions, ranging from the chance to snorkel with turtles to visits to floating temples and local markets. Along the way, you’ll stay in clifftop villas that come with their own pools and intimate, private-beach resorts.
Begin your holiday in style with included UK airport lounge access before your overnight flight to Bali.
On arrival into Bali, you’ll be met at the airport for a private transfer, through the Indonesian countryside, to your luxury accommodation in Ubud. Here, everything from your private terrace to the fine-dining villas and intimate spa are wrapped in tropical verdure and bright-green rice paddies. It’s scenery that you’ll explore with two days at leisure, with the likes of jungle walks, river canoeing and bike rides all on offer.
You’ll quickly find yourself settled in to mornings begun with complimentary yoga sessions, held in an open-air pavilion as you slip into island life.
Breakfast included
On your last day in Ubud, we’ve arranged a comprehensive tour of central Bali. With the services of a private driver, you’ll take in spectacular garden temples, vibrantly colourful markets and giant caldera lakes ringed by towering volcanoes. After pausing for an included lunch, you’ll stop off at the UNESCO-listed and spectacularly tiered Jatiluwih rice terraces along with Ulun Danu.
This 17th-century temple, poised on Lake Beratan, seems for all the world as if it’s floating on the waters.
Breakfast & Lunch included
Today, you’ll have the choice of travelling by plane or speedboat to Lombok, Bali’s quiet island neighbour. A private transfer will then see you to the island’s northwest and your very own bamboo bungalow – set just steps from your resort’s exclusive beach. Again, you’ll have two days at leisure, perhaps taking advantage of Tugu Lombok’s ocean-view Jacuzzis, Hindu-temple spa and the chance to trek to one of the island’s hidden waterfalls.
We’ve also included a private snorkelling and glass bottom boat trip to the next-door Gilis, showcasing the islands’ turtles, colourful fish and great coral formations. After an included lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll then have some time to relax on Gili Trawangan’s palm-fringed beaches.
Breakfast included
A journey by speedboat, in between private transfers, will see you back to Bali to end your trip in style with a stay in a clifftop villa. Complete with private pool and tropical courtyard, you’ll enjoy an idyllic seclusion overlooking a near-private beach on the island’s southernmost tip, rated among Bali’s top five. Perhaps explore with coral dives and some of the world’s best surfing or relax with the beach club, rooftop wine-bar, lantern-lit infinity pool or cooking lessons. There’s even a treetop gym and the chance to take your gourmet meals at the beach club.
Alternatively, speak to us about upgrading your stay to the stunning Alila Villas, Uluwatu. Perched on a cliff with dramatic Indian Ocean views, this is one of Indonesia's finest hotels. Expect everything from butler-served pool villas to complimentary yoga and fine dining at one of the island's best restaurants.
Conclude your trip with a private guided tour, taking in the highlights of Bali’s south. You’ll begin with Uluwatu Temple; perched 70 metres above the crashing waves on green-dappled cliffs, it’s one of the island’s most dramatic sights. You’ll then have the chance to witness the kecak, a traditional performance where up to 100 dancers form a circle to sway and chant to hypnotic music.
It’s a truly evocative experience based on an ancient Hindu epic. You’ll then end the day with a dinner at Jimbaran Bay. Set on a crescent of white sand and bright-blue sea, it’s renowned for its excellent seafood, which you’ll sample with a traditional rijsttafel spread at one of its finest restaurants.
A last private transfer will see you to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
